Q: So what exactly will I learn?

A: You will learn about what pencils and paper are best for writing calligraphy, the hack in making contrasting lines, how to write the alphabets (both capitals and small letters), how to connect the alphabets, how to add simple flourishing... In each video, I will only be covering one topic, so you can learn at your own pace accordingly. At the end of the course, you will be able to create pencil calligraphy work like the one above!

Q: How is this different from other calligraphy courses?

A: There are plenty of calligraphy courses out there but very few of them focus on pencil calligraphy. Pencil calligraphy is hassle-free and cheap (we all have a pencil at home, and if not, getting one costs you almost nothing!), can be practised anywhere (no ink spill, no broken brush tip), and is perfect for beginners who want to first form a basic understanding on how calligraphy works and looks like. The knowledge from this course will also serve as a solid stepping stone for you to learn brush pen and dip pen calligraphy in the future!
